Reentry can be a time of diverse emotions and expectations which can lead to unexpected feelings of frustration, grief, and isolation. This one-week renewal for those transitioning back into American culture debriefs the cross-cultural experience, explores reverse culture shock, and equips for healthy reentry into the home culture.
This weekend seminar challenges and educates local churches to move to the next level with their current missions strategy so they may more effectively partner with their missionaries. Local churches will interact with missions leaders and discover ways of raising the bar of their missions program or discover a place to start if they don’t have one at all.
Applying effective techniques and possessing a positive attitude significantly impact the language learner’s confidence and success in the language acquisition process which can result in increased effectiveness and longevity on the field. This two-week intensive training empowers cross-cultural workers with the best known current strategies and tools in language acquisition.
This three-week pre-departure training equips prospective cross-cultural workers with inspiration for spiritual formation, tips for leaving well, coping strategies for culture shock, principles and approaches for cultural adaptation, interpersonal skills, methods for team building, awareness of singleness and family issues, and strategies for cross-cultural church planting.
Over 80% of the world cannot or does not easily learn from reading. The communication vehicle of choice for these oral learners is story. God gave us 75% of the Bible in story format. You can learn to tell fascinating, accurate Bible stories and lead interactive discussions to change lives.
